When and where can race kits be picked up?
Race kits can be picked up at the Acadia Auxiliary Gym at Acadia University Athletics Complex, from 12:00 – 7:00 pm on Saturday or from 7:30 – 8:15 am on race day, Sunday.
Will there be free parking because Acadia requires you to have a parking pass?
Yes there is free parking at Acadia University parking lots for race participants and spectators on Saturday and Sunday (race day). You can disregard signage regarding parking permits on these days. Please be sure to park in marked spaces. Anyone parking in fire lanes may be towed. This has happened in the past.
At how many KM is each water station?
Water stations will be every 4 km or less.
Are there showers available for after the race?
There are showers and changing facilities available for all participants at the Acadia Gym.
If we are paying the day of the event (late registration) what type of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made by cheque or cash for runners that register at the race kit pick-up area on Saturday or Sunday (race day).
How will timing chips be distributed?
Timing Chips will be inserted in runners' kits. Please store these in a safe place. There is an additional fee for replacement chips.
Are walkers permitted?
Walking is allowed, however be advised that the course will be closed 5 hours after the official start time of 8:30am. Early start times can be arranged for any walkers who feel they will be longer than 5 hours.
Is the race open to traffic?
Traffic will be completely shut down for the start of the course (the initial loop in "downtown" Wolfville), and along the causeway as runners cross the Cornwallis River between Greenwich and Port Williams. We will have controlled traffic access in many areas along the route. Course marshals and the local RCMP will monitor and direct traffic at key points along the course. For the most part, the course is along rural roads that have very little traffic during the race.
